2016 Sicily – Day 5 – Syracuse


Syracuse is a historic city located on the island of Sicily in southern Italy. The city has a rich and diverse history that spans more than 2,700 years, making it one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe.

Syracuse was founded by the ancient Greeks in the 8th century BC, and it quickly became one of the most important cities of the Mediterranean world. The city was a major center of trade, culture, and science, and it was home to many famous philosophers, scientists, and artists.
