I have never been on this island because its only possible to walk around in a circle. But there is a more hidden track which goes through the bush and which us much more attractive than a walk around the island.

Although I have travelled a lot in Australia, I have never had the opportunity to see anything more of the Sydney area. To close this gap, I got a rental car and drove after a journey to the west the day before in direction south along the coast. The journey went through the Royal National Park, Wollongong, Port Kembla, some smaller towns and finally to Jarvis Bay.

For me it was the first time that I walked to the northern end of the beach. Then I walked up a small hill and finally to another beach. This time I had no desire to tell anything.
