DARWIN, AUSTRALIA: I had the opportunity to visit the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2019. The World Solar Challenge is a car race of vehicles mainly powered by photovoltaics. The race always starts in Darwin/Australia in the Northern Territory and leads from north to south through the whole continent from Australia to Adelaide in the south. The route is about 3000 km through the harsh conditions of the continent. The teams consist mainly of students and the vehicles are built and operated by students. In this film there are some impressions of the qualifing on the Darwin race track, the scruitining and the start in the centre of Darwin. Unfortunately I was a bit late for the start and could only see the last two cars starting.
Taxiing at Frankfurt Airport FRA with Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong HKG at the end of September 2019. The flight departed 13.45 in the afternoon, as usual from Terminal 2.
GERMANY: This video gives a short overview of our garden in Germany. The garden is a bit away into fields and woods and quite big. Unfortunately we do not have so much time to grow anything or to do other bigger things with it. In this respect we were already at the end of September again the last time for the year there, because other affairs do not allow any more visit.
Actually, we wanted to go to our garden. From the garden we always saw a castle on a mountain. The castle is the castle Teck in the federal state Baden Württemberg in Germany. So we decided to stop by and see if a trip there would be worth it. From the parking lot it was not then nevertheless so far and we went spontaneously the right steep ascent to the castle.
Some impressions of the house of Friedrich Nietzsche’s mother in Naumburg/Germany, where he spent a large part of his life and his last years.
We visited the Altdahn Castle in summer 2019 in the Palatinate Forest in Germany. Luckily there where not so many people visiting and the weather was nearly perfect. There was no entree fee.
A hike in summer through the German Monbachtal (Monbach Valley) in the Blackwood Forest.
