COLMAR, FRANCE: Colmar is a centuries-old city in the east of France in the Alsace region in the valley of the river Rhine. The city is famous for the builder of the Statue of Liberty in New York and its medieval downtown. Some houses date from the 14th century and the church is from the 13th century.
I had a short trip to Lyon in France for a few days. Unfortunately I had quite little time to get to know this interesting city. But here are at least a few scenes from Lyon.

Travelogue of a 2000 km tour through China in May-June 2012. Due to a business stay I had some days to travel around in China with starting point Dalian. The question arose at the beginning, where to go and what is feasible in which time. Originally the route was supposed to run further west, but was discarded due to lack of time. A detour to inner Mongolia was also rejected, as the return would have to take place on the same route.
